Are you a die-hard Die Harder? A dedicated Potterhead? An avid Aardman animation fan? Or do you simply enjoy watching films of all sorts?
The event is fast becoming a ‘must’ night out because you don’t need to be a total film nerd to really enjoy this fun-filled evening. Our resident quizmaster will be at the podium once again to put your film trivia knowledge to the test.
Come as a team (maximum size of eight), come as an individual or couple and we’ll put teams together on the night. You’ll all be very welcome!
Tickets (advance sales only): £10 per person, The price includes a cheese platter supper and nibbles. A bar serving both alcoholic and non-acoholic drinks will be available throughout the evening. Doors open 7.30, the Movie Quiz starts starts 8.00 p.m.
And the night before (Friday 21st February) we are screening the “thought provoking and life-affirming” father/daughter drama – Leave No Trace.
Will (an Iraq war veteran) and his 13 year old daughter, Tom, have lived off the grid in the forests of Portland, Oregon for years. When their idyllic life is shattered, both are put into social services. How will they cope – can they integrate back into normal society and what will the stresses and strains it causes mean for their very close relationship?
Directed by Debra Granik, the film stars Ben Foster, Thomasin McKenzie, Jeff Kober and Dale Dickey.
Leave No Trace (Cert. 12 109 mins: mild injury detail, drug references) is being screened at The War Memorial Hall, Common Road on Friday 21st February. The doors and bar open at 7.30pm, the programme begins at 8.00pm.
