Our next event is a Virtual Film Screening on Friday 21st January 2022 when we will be screening:

(2018: Cert. 12: 98mins)

This coming-of-age family drama is set in the early 1960s. Fourteen year-old Joe Brinson has moved with his mother and father to a small town in Montana. His father works at the local golf course but when he loses his job, finds it hard to get work and eventually decides to leave home to take up firefighting in the hills. His mother Jeanette feels abandoned and increasingly treats Joe as an adult, who quickly has to learn some powerful and indelible life lessons.

Wildlife marks the directorial debut of actor/writer Paul Dano and stars Carey Mulligan, Jake Gyllenhaal and Ed Oxenbould.  The film is currently available to watch free-of-charge on BBC I-Player.
“A beautifully observed study……it not only establishes Dano as a director to watch, but features an extraordinary performance by Mulligan.”
Nick De Semylen, Empire Magazine

“..handsomely made, meticulously acted…”
Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian.
