Friday 19th June 2026 – Hamnet (2025: Cert 12A: 126 mns)

Our 2025/26 season closes on Friday 19th June with the multi-award nominated and winning drama, HAMNET (2025: Cert 12A: 126mns), a powerful story of love and loss, directed by Chloé Zhao, starring Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal, Emily Watson and Joe Alwyn.

Young William Shakespeare meets and falls for the free-spirited Agnes. Their whirlwind romance leads to marriage and three children, but as Will’s theatrical ambitions draw him to London, Agnes remains behind in Stratford to manage the household. When tragedy strikes their bond is deeply tested – but their journey through grief inspires the creation of Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece, Hamlet.

“Hamnet is a technical, artistic, intellectual, and emotional feast.” Michael Ordoña, The Wrap

“Zhao doesn’t just tell you about the healing power of art, she shows you. Prepare your tear ducts accordingly.” Philip De Semlyen, Time Out
