Welcome to the 12th season of your Chorleywood Film Club! Below are the films we are showing this season, from September 2026 until June 2027. All screenings take place at 8pm om the third Friday of each month (apart from December) at the Chorleywood War Memorial Hall. Tickets are available online here, at the Chorleywood Bookshop and on the door, subject to availability. We look forward to seeing you there!
Friday 18th September 2026 – RENTAL FAMILY (2025: 12A: 110 min)
A gentle comedy drama starring Brendan Fraser, Takehiro Hira, Mari Yamamoto, directed by Hikari.
A struggling American actor living in Tokyo who is looking for a purpose in life, signs up with a Japanese ‘rental family’ agency, playing stand-in roles for strangers. As he immerses himself in his clients’ worlds he begins to form genuine bonds that blur the lines between performance and reality….

It’s 1916 and as World War I rages on the Western Front, Dr Henry Guthrie takes over the choral society in Ramsden, Yorkshire which has lost most of its’ men to the army. The community soon discovers that the best response to the chaos that is laying waste to their lives is to make music together.

A dark comedy drama directed by Steven Soderbergh, starring Ian McKellen, Michaela Cole, James Corden and Jessica Gunning.
A once-celebrated artist’s children enlist a forger to access his unfinished canvases in a deceptive bid to secure an inheritance.
