Young Film-makers Competition

istock_templateAre you a budding Steven Spielberg, Kathryn Bigelow, Nick Parks or Daisy Jacobs?  Then this could be for you!

As part of Chorleywood’s First Film Festival, we are running a Young Film-makers Competition for 7-11 year olds who either live within a five mile radius of Lower Road – or attend one of the village’s schools.

Entrants are invited to submit a video of no longer than 3 minutes on the theme of ‘Chorleywood Life’. It can show anything – a moment from daily life, playing, school, wildlife, adventure, made-up fantasy, it can be live action or animation, any genre, real or made-up – as long as it’s local to Chorleywood.  The films can be made using an iPad, video camera, mobile phone or any other appropriate device that captures digital images.

Entries must be received by Thursday 19th January and a jury will then judge the entries prior to the Festival. The winner and best runners-up will be shown on the big screen in a special session on Saturday morning 18th February at Chorleywood War Memorial Hall, Common Road.
