(Buy tickets online or in person at Chorleywood Bookshop).
This hit musical fantasy charts Reginald Dwight’s transformational journey from shy piano prodigy into international superstar, Elton John. Set to some of Elton’s and Bernie Taupin’s best loved songs, it tells the universally relatable story of how a small town boy became one of the most iconic figures in pop culture.
The latest film from British actor-turned-director, Dexter Fletcher, features a tremendous lead performance from Taron Egerton – who not only plays Elton but also performs his songs. An exceptionally strong supporting cast includes Jamie Bell , Richard Madden, Bryce Dallas Howard and Gemma Jones.
“…a heart-racing, toe-tapping, all-glitter-cannons-blazing triumph.”
Robbie Collin, The Daily Telegraph
“There may be a showbiz biopic to come that matches Rocketman for wit, energy, charm, candour and shameless exuberance. But I think it’s gonna be a long, long time.” Matthew Norman, London Evening Standard
