After last month’s sell-out season opener, tickets are now on sale for October’s film – Manchester By The Sea.
One of the most powerful dramas released in the past year, it tells the story of loner Lee Chandler, who after the sudden death of his older brother, is shocked to find he’s been made the sole guardian of his teenage nephew. Taking leave of his job as a janitor in Boston, Lee reluctantly returns to Manchester By The Sea, the fishing village where his working-class family has lived for generations. Once there, he is forced to deal with a past that separated him from his wife and the community where he was born and raised.
Director/Writer Kenneth Lonergan’s multi-award winning film stars Casey Affleck, Michelle Williams and Lucas Hedges.
“Stunningly acted and superbly written, this is a heart-breaking study of loss and human connection that’s shot through with raw emotion.”
Matthew Turner, iNews.co.uk
“Packs a real (emotional) wallop.” Jamie Graham, Total Film
