Friday 17th April 2026 – The Ballad of Wallis Island (2024: 12A: 109 mins)

This April, we are showing the bittersweet comedy drama The Ballad Of Wallis Island directed by James Griffiths, starring Tom Basden, Tim Key, Carey Mulligan and Sian Clifford.

An eccentric lottery winner (Charles) lives alone on a remote island and dreams of getting his favourite folk music duo – McGwyer Mortimer – back together again. His fantasy turns into reality when the bandmates (and former lovers) accept his invitation to play a concert at his home on Wallis Island. But old tensions resurface as Charles tries desperately to salvage his dream gig.

“A gloriously British movie, The Ballad of Wallis Island is just a little bit magic – and thoroughly cast its spell over me.” Tori Brazier, The Metro.

“..this is a small gem of a film that deserves to become a cult classic.” Rich Cline, Shadows On The Wall
