In the run-up to next year’s Chorleywood Film Festival, we are running a second Competition for Young Film-makers – but this time round it’s open to 7 – 18 year olds who have a connection with Chorleywood.
Entrants are invited to submit a video (animation, documentary or fiction) of between 1 and 5 minutes long on one of the following themes:
* My favourite animal
* This is me
* Another topic of your choice
There are three age categories: 7 – 11 years; 12 – 15 years; 16 – 18 years. The films can be made using an iPad, video camera, mobile phone or any other appropriate device that captures digital images.
We are now pleased to announce that the winners of each age category will invited to Abbey Road Studios next summer by David Yates, the director of 4 of the Harry Potter films and Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them for a (musical) scoring session for Fantastic Beasts 2.
Would-be entrants must register their interest in submitting an entry by December 22nd. All entries must be received by Friday 19th January 2018. Please complete the Film Competition Entry Form 2018 to submit with your entry.
The entries will be judged by a panel of film industry professionals prior to the Festival and the winners will be shown at a special screening on Saturday 24th February 2018 at Chorleywood War Memorial Hall, Common Road.
